A few weeks ago, at the end of a somewhat busy day I had spent away from home, I sat down at my desk, to see what was happening in my virtual world, with my virtual friends.
You know: the friends I have who live in my computer.
Don’t roll your eyes. You have friends like that, too, or you wouldn’t be reading this!
Before I could even open my browser, I noticed something was lying on top of my computer keyboard. When I picked it up, I discovered that when my husband brought in the mail while I was gone, he’d found a real life card in it, addressed to me. It had been sent to my by one of those virtual friends who generally only show up on my computer screen.
A friend had taken the time to send me a love note in the US mail that day! What a nice surprise! I grew all warm inside, and my fingers almost trembled a bit with anticipation, as I opened that envelope. Real life paper it was, that my fingers could touch and feel, as I quickly ran one finger underneath the seal.
People don’t utilize Ben Franklin’s Improved Mail System as much as they might these days. The U.S. Mail is rarely a place where we receive many pleasant pieces of correspondence, I fear.
How about you? Had any GOOD mail lately?
A handwritten note to say you’re thinking of someone can brighten the darkest day.
Do you see an importance in keeping in touch and sharing personal messages with those you love?
Hallmark, a company who truly values this relationship between friends and family, is looking for some creative Moms to learn from and to help inspire their future products.
In addition to the opportunity to impact the brand, members will receive monthly Amazon gift codes for their participation and a $5 Amazon gift code just for joining.
There is limited space available in this group, but if you’d like to apply to join this group, as I did, you can see if you qualify today: https://bit.ly/1NFlXwz
No one’s going to get rich off participating, but if you’re like me, every little bit helps, and Amazon gift codes come in really handy, from time to time!

I'm a card addict. Always have been. I have applied to this before but never heard back. Maybe it's time to try again? :) Thanks for the info, Susan! My recent post One Match.

I'm actually sending out a few cards today to thank some friends and to comfort others. Sometimes it is nice to give someone a tangible sentiment :-)
